Tiger Butterfly Kiss, Blown and Sand-Carved Glass, 16h x 12w x 6d in, Sold

This vessel explores animal mimicry through a surreal lens, drawing on how the tiger butterfly echoes the stripes of the tiger to appear more threatening. It extends this idea by connecting creatures both large and small, with the tiger’s image reflected within the butterfly’s wings. The sprawled butterfly, bearing dual tiger faces, clarifies this relationship and heightens the tension of the scene. Inquire by emailing: probertgillian@gmail.com
