Gillian Probert

Gillian Probert is a passionate multimedia artist whose work is rooted in nature and emotion. Originally from San Diego, she moved to Florida to pursue degrees in Visual Arts and Business Management at Eckerd College, graduating in 2023. That same year, she launched her art business, Moonlit Creations, and was recognized as one of Florida CraftArt’s Emerging Artists. Her work has since been featured in galleries across the U.S.

Gillian expresses her creativity through many mediums — each one offering a different artistic expression. Ceramics grounds her, bringing her into the present as she shapes intentional, tangible forms from the earth. Painting allows her to drift into an imaginative space, where she brings inner visions to life and invites others to see the world through her eyes. And glass — her newest passion — is hot, fast, and demanding. It’s a medium that offers no second chances, a challenge that Gillian embraces with intensity and curiosity.

Currently, Gillian is learning the art of glassblowing and carving at the Duncan McClellan Gallery, where she also curates exhibitions. Her glass work explores transformation through fire, speaking to the resilience it takes to face life’s pressure and emerge stronger, more luminous, and more honest.

No matter the material, Gillian’s work reflects a deep fascination with the connection between nature and the human experience. She creates not just to make, but to share — to express, connect, and reflect something real back to the viewer.
